starting problems

I've had numerous problems starting my car. 18months of ownership and its getting a touch fustrating [:mad:]

Since I bought the car:

* I started off using the car about weekly and the battery kept running low.
* Car would struggle to turn over, improved as I used the car more often.
* Alternator failed.
* Battery died.
* Replaced the battery with a higher capacity battery and used the car (or atleast started) every 3-4 days.
* Battery died again, after checking it it turned out to be faulty. Replaced battery.
* Had no problem for last 4-5 months.
* last few days: struggles to turn over again, alternator and battery checked and ok, starter motor on order.

Its my second 3.2, the first had no problems starting even though it was used even less.
Strange but when the battery is getting low the central locking doesnt work. The unlock button on the centre console also takes a few presses to lock/unlock both doors ??
Car has an immobiliser which can be bypassed (which I normally do) - not sure if this could be a problem source.

Any ideas?!?
