Starting the car when warm

Hi guys, long time no posting!

Quick question, when I start from cold I get a 'proper' start up. Let us say I get to my destination and the car is warm and the car is off and then switched back on to continue a journey lets say 10 mins later the start up is first time but it is, shall we say slushy or lazy, is this normal and what could this be put down to?

Mine does similar sometimes, I put it down to hot engine, fuel evaporation, as soon as you touch throttle all fine

I had a similar problem, took over a year to pin down, during which we replaced the ICV and the Flywheel position sensor - BUT eventually it was the engine end (not the tank end) fuel vent valve that was identified as the root cause of the problem. Never a problem starting cold - probably as the pressure gradually dissipates itself when the engine is off, but builds up again as the engine warms up and fuel flows.

You might notice the tickover fluctuating a bit as well when the engine is warm, that's another clue.

Hope you narrow it down.

I have just noticed mine is doing the same, rather lazy starting when hot. Julius, did you replace the fuel vent valve, or was it serviceable ?
