Static noise instead of radio/CD

Morning all, I have spent a fair bit of time on here looking at various posts but having purchased my first Porsche 2 months ago I finally decided to join up. Bought an '03 996 C4S and so far really happy with it. Slowly getting used to the car and enjoy using it as a daily driver. Had a bit of an issue this morning though, turned the ignition back on and was greeted with static noise instead of the radio station I had been listening to when I stopped to get petrol 5 minutes earlier! Getting the same when I try CD as well I can hear the radio/CD faintly but its very low in comparison to all the static.

Anyone else come across this and have a suggestion as to solution or should I just take it to get fixed!?

Thanks

Have you got a Bluetooth mobile phone kit fitted ?
On my 996, every now & again the Bluetooth kit appears to cause a problem with the radio CD losing sound on 1 channel & I have to go into the radio balance menu system to tell it to use all the speakers again.

Problem never happened before Bluetooth fitment & appears to be caused by the radio remembering the speaker set up for mobile phone call reception after the call has ended & the radio should have defaulkted back to its standard settings.

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply. No bluetooth on the car although tempted to get something sorted on that front. Bizarrely got into the car this evening and everything seems to be working fine. Hoping that it never happens again but has just got me wondering about maybe going down the route of getting something more modern fitted. Hopefully it was just a one off. Thanks for giving it some thought though.
