i believe there was a recall on the 911 turbo 1991-1993 something to do with the steering coupling what exactly was the problem.
also is there any way to check what recalls there were for the 911 turbo 1991 and whether they have been carried out on my vehicle

In theory, given the VIN number, your nearest OPC should be able to tell you about any recalls that would have affected your car....and they may have access to a Porsche Cars GB database which confirms whether your car was dealt with.
Failing the OPC, try Porsche Cars GB in Reading - but they may charge you!
