Steering Creak

My car has developed a steering creak today and it's more noticable from the suspension, especially over Aberdeen's numerous speed bumps.

There is a slight reverberation on the steering wheel when it happens.

Its not continous, any thoughts?

My old 986S developed a similar problem but more of a muted clonk from the front suspension when negotiating speed humps. I think it was to do with the suspension arm bushes (sorted under warranty). It was fine apart from going over undulated surfaces, and I could 'feel' the muted noise though the steering wheel.
It might be this.
