Steering Question

Hi All,

My 2000 996 C2 has been experiencing a niggling problem which has got slightly more pronounced in the last 3 months. The car has done 47.5k miles
When I change direction I get a single knock sensation felt through the steering wheel but when the steering wheel is straight, it doesn't do it. I can only describe it as feeling like something hasn't been tightened properly.
JZ Machtech changed the strut top mounts and offside track rod end in April but it still does it.
I went back last week and this time they're saying it's the offside wishbone and strut, as the strut is squeeking slightly now too. (Which have to be changed in pairs) so 2 struts and one wishbone will cost £1,000 to change inc labour and vat!...I already spent £500 in April on this...
It's going to OPC Cambridge tomorrow for the Annual Service so I'm getting them to look at it and give me a second opnion...

Has anyone else experienced this?, I don't want to spend all this money for the problem to still be there afterwards. I just want my tight, wonderfully set up 996 back to normal!
