steering wheel change

I would greatly appreciate some guidance on changing the steering wheel on my 964. This must be a simple task to all of you, but I've not done it before.
I still have the non airbag OE and not sure how to remove it. Does the centre horn push/pad simply pull off?
Are there any special procedures to follow in taking the old wheel off and fitting a new one (a Momo from Design 911 with 964 fitting kit)?
Would really be pleased to receive the idiots guide to undertaking this task

If memory serves me right the horn push does just pull out,hopefully somebody will confirm this for you.It's just undoing the nut on the splined shaft and pulling the wheel off then,the wheel was quite tight on mine and took some serious clouts to get it off,leave the nut on a few threads so the wheel can't come off in your face.
 
Assuming it is the standard type, yes the horn pad just pulls off - 3 locating lugs- lower corners and top centre - watch out for the wire for the horn it can be damaged if it comes off to far. Then as Gazzy says big, can be very tight, nut - 24 mm IIRC and pull as he says.
