Steering wheel leather wear

The leather on my steering wheel is a little worn after 75k miles. Does anyone know whether it is possible to re-stain a Metropole Blue steering wheel?

YOU CAN GET THEM CONNOLISED BUT WITH IT BEING A STEERING WHEEL IT WILL WEAR VERY QUICK IT CAN BE RETRIMMED FOR AROUND 200.00

It'll be midnight blue if its a standard 993 interior colour - metropole is a 996 colour. Metropole can look nearly black in some lights. Sorry, can't answer the Q about re-staining though.

No idea for London area but if you can't get it done locally Southbound at Stockbridge could no doubt do it.

Downside is it would be postage or courier plus the job.

I had my steering wheel cleaned and re-dyed, along with the gear stick gaiter, about 3 years ago when the seats were done. I've been perfectly happy with the results, especially given how grubby it was before. The trimmers warned me that it would wear relatively quickly, but it still looks good so far (18,000 miles).

Cheers/John

Keep an eye out on ebay. 993 wheels crop up from time to time as many owners are changing to aftermarket wheels. There is a new, straight out of the box, black steering wheel advertised at the moment for around £250.
