Steering wheel spacer for CS 3 spoke wheel

There seems to be a bit of interest on the 968uk forum in another production run of these spacers. So far I've heard from Oz and a coupe owner who may change his 4 spoke wheel. The original run was organised by Big Dave UK and he reckons it won't fit the 4 spoke wheel.

When I showed the spacer to a friend who has a business manufacturing high spec things like lamps for North Sea rigs, he said he could do a run, minimum order 5 and about £60 IIRC. There was no problem replicating the spec. That was last spring so I'd need to go back to him. However I'm not going to waste his time (or mine) unless there are enough people genuinely interested. Oh, and they'll be at cost plus p & p. This is not me building up the retirement fund! [:D]

I've put a post on the 968uk forum about this and will copy this onto the 944 register. Over to you guys![FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I now have going spare one of the original 50mm steering wheel spacers made by 'bigdave' about 3 years ago. My removeable steering boss now does the same job so this spacer is now for sale. £80 delivered to the UK This spacer can be used wth any steering wheel that fits onto the 968 or 944 steering column NB see also the rest of the things I am selling in the top thread called 'Spares Listing' of the 968 section.

Paul .. Not too sure about that, I made them to work with the 3 spoke CS / Sport wheels, NOT the airbag wheel...They might well work on the airbag wheel, but i never had one to check. They are a great help if your "verticaly blessed", tall in other words.[;)][;)]

thx Dave - phew! hopefully it is OK for the guy in Scotland who has bought it for his CS ps -- am selling anything I can to support my 2011 race season! -- just bought a load of disc pads to beat the VAT rise and trying to do a deal on some of those damned Michelin Pilot Sport Cups that we have to use.
