Yes, theyre identical. Change the horn ring though, as theyre different (assuming oem wheels - if aftermarket then it isnt as straightforward). Simon

cheers bud, its actually a after market momo wheel off a 944 ,just wanna make sure it fits before , i splash the cash ..[;)]

You need to check on Momo's web site but I believe that early 944's and 924's have one hub fitting which also fits VW's of the same era. The later 944's have a different hub, however the fixing to the momo wheel is the same. Mike White 2.7 automatic

Momo is aftermarket, and its their hubs particularly that I was referring to, whilst trying to keep my reply straightforward. The oem wheels are identical, with only the horn / signal cancel ring differing (924 part on early cars and 928 part on late cars) and this part is removable. Some cheaper bosses need to have the ring fited from the car in question (Mountney for example) and these are universal; but others, such as Momo, incorporate the 'ring' into the boss and these are year-specific. I can fit a Momo wheel to my series one 944 or 924S using a Mountney boss, and then fit it to my series two 944 needing only to swap over the horn ring. My series two 944 Momo boss is only suitable for the later car and it will not suit the early 944 or the 924S.

Further to that (because I failed in my quest for clarity in a complete answer...): a Momo series one 944 steering wheel boss will not suit a series two (September 1985 / 1986 model year) 944. Simon

hi, thanks for the info. It saved me a headache ,i sure [;)] I will get the correct 44s2 boss. I was hoping to save a few ££ []
