Stereo ISO blocks

Anyone fitted standard ISO blocks to their stereo's? I'm wondering if there is enough space behind the head unit to fit the cumbersome blocks. I was thinking about fitting them to save me from cutting the blocks off my new stereo once I get it.

Also i've got a new pair of JBL 2-way door speakers to replace my aging originals that are clipping a bit. Can these be fitted from the front without removing the door card?

Cheers in advance.

Mines got them on already - loads of room to store them - the back of the Alpine has loads of other bulky stuff, which all fits no problem.

Mine's got them too, no problems. And yes, the door speakers come off without getting the card off first. Pull the outer surround off and it exposes the screws.

Some of the jbl speakers have a spacer glued on them,i recently bought some of ebay which have them fitted. Be careful when you pull them off as it can pull the cones off the body quite easilly !!!

wow, this sounds on the face of it the first job i've done on this job that is straight forward and simple -although I don't want to tempt fate. When you say there is a spacer, do you mean around the rim of the speaker frame - like a rubber gasket? The speakers I got were specifically for replacement Audi/VW/Porsche cars so hopefully i'll be OK but i'll look out for one. Cheers.

Its a plastic spacer thats stuck to the frame but its only lightly stuck. The speakers i bought of ebay were porsche /vw specific as well so i emailed the seller and he confirmed that you need to remove the spacer for them to fit. I told him that the cone comes away slightly which he said was a common problem and is easilly sorted by gluing back down with super glue but recomend black window sealent or silicone sealer as its more flexable !!!
