Stereo upgrade

Good evening, first post here, Just taken delivery of my 981 and am loving it. Just had a 300 mile round trip today and loved every minute in the car. Only "minor" complaint would be the standard radio is pretty poor. Car came with telephone preperation but again is not quite up to scratch imo. Does anyone have any suggestions to upgrade - sat nav would be ideal. I have spoken to my OPC who say they cannot upgrade to the PCM. Any suggestions please?

many thanks

Tim

If you have a Porsche warranty, beware, changing head unit can invalidate claims. Best enquire with dealer first.

thanks for your reply. Spoke to OPC and does indeed invalidate the warranty using a 3rd party unit. Sticking with the i-phone bluetoothed through the speakers [:)]

Nav is listed on the Tequipment site as a possible accessory. It's £4,814 though! Part number: 991 044 901 90.

Also, you need to already have the upgraded screen fitted as part of one of the factory stereo upgrades. It seems to imply you won't get the Nav maps in the instrument binnacle either, which you do when it's factory fitted.

"Note: Only for vehicles with Sound Package Plus, BOSE® Surround Sound System or Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System. No additional navigation maps displayed in the multi-function display of the instrument cluster."
