Stereo wiring query

New member

Just about to install a new stereo and have a quick query. In the picture below the Radio Aerial is on the left but attached to it is a thin black wire, any ideas what it is ?

The 4 bullet connectors in the middle are the front speaker connectors which leaves the 3 on the right, I assume the brown is ground and the red is the switched 12V, would that make the blue/grey the constant 12V from the battery ?

I had a look here but but the blue/grey is not mentioned. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/1914.html

Of course I could be completely wrong about all of them [&o]

The thin black wire will be the powered antenna supply. If you don't connect you will get diddly squat from the radio! The headunit that came out will have been connected so look at the instructions for this and the new one and you should be able work out where to put it.

Unfortunately the previous owner removed his stereo when he sold me the car, and I have only just got around to fitting a new one. Hence not knowing which wire does what ;)
