I have recently replaced the factory unit ( CDR23 ) in my 2002 S with a Sony unit, but I can't find a switched live feed so a a result the unit is live even when key is removed, ideally I want it to switch off when the key is removed as the old one did, I've checked all the feeds and none is switched this seems very odd as the old unit turned off, am I missing something really obvious or is some extra wiring needed?
 
The CDR23 doesn't have a switched feed in the black power plug. It gets it's wake-up signal from the DME (engine control unit).

Previous models (CDR22) had a switched feed which came from the back of the relay panel. There are a bunch of orange wires there which are switched. However, it is a bit of a faff getting to them. An easier way is to use a fuse tap, and connect to fuse E8. This is a switched feed for when a telephone handset is fitted.
