Sticker Removal

Hi all and a happy new year. Lets hope it's as prosperous as the last. Right down to business. I have a very unwanted sticker on the inside of my windscreen which I would like to remove. Trouble is it seems to be stuck on with God know's what and is proving somewhat difficult. I don't want to risk scratching the inside of the windscreen so was wondering if anyone had any tips or know of any products to remove the item before I attacck it with something sharp!! [&:]

Apply gentle (very gentle!) heat with a domestic hair dryer and the glue will soften allowing removal with something like a wooden spatula.

Thanks guys had been thinking along the lines of something similar to decal removal. Wasn't sure how the windscreen would take it though. I am in work now and have a variable heat gun whch should do the job. Sure I can lay my hands on somehing similar to nail varnish remover as well [:)]

By any chance is your '88 turbo an 'S'? If so & you have the original screen it's plastic on the inside, not glass. Test in an inconspicuous area, as the saying goes.

No not an S mate but most windscreens have a plastic film on the inside sometimes referred to as an anti-spalling compound, basicly to hold it all together when it shatters. Wouldn't be the end of the world anyway if I damaged it. There is a small bit of delamination in the corner that has always annoyed me. Thing is it has never got any worse so have never saw the need to change it.
