Sticky & Hot

Just been away for day to Cheshire with the old girl and the porker. Good roads so used the car appropriately not exceeding any limits obviously, and noticed that after around 1 1/2hours of driving the gear change became fairly "STICKY" and the bottom of the gear leaver was extremely "HOT". I doubt very much this is normal so any ideas??

The base of my gearstick does get very warm after a number of hours, it's heat conducting from the engine and along the torque tube. There are a few gaitors and seals under the stick, it could be one of yours has perished or come loose, but I think you may just have the normal sticky stick [:)]

They do get hot - more so in summer (suprise!). Try driving one on an Autostrada in Italy in summer - almost too hot to touch after a while...[]

darn it.......!!!.....i was hoping this thread was going to be something completely different[;)]

So we all get hot and sticky sticks after a period of hard driving, well I knew these cars were thrilling, but really, that much!!!![:D][:D]
