My clutch pedal occasionally sticks and does not return fully, so far I have had a complete new clutch (with fork mod) a new slave cylender and it has been looked at by my local independant - who as you may guess van never get it to stick when they have it..... The car is very well maintained and is in first class order apart from this very annoying prob.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated,
Cheers

Hi,

I am unsure of the layout of pedals info with the 3.2, but on the 993 there is a wooden cover that can be removed very easily, then you can get access to pedals assembly and pistons etc, i removed this on mine and gave the pistons and springs etc a squirt of oil, has helped in the movement of pedal, hope this helps.

Nick.

Hi
Had a similar fault on my wifes 964 found when I removed the wooden cover a small stone at the side of the pedal cleaned that and all the other muck as well from them and oiled now ok

Nick there is a cover - I will try and hopefully may get somewhere - but would have thougt (poss wrongly) that my local specialist would have lubed this area when all the investgation was done. When first asked they said it was deff a new clutch that was needed .....

Whilst lubricating have a look at the wear on bushes, i believe you can get a bronze bush kit from Pelican Parts which are more durable and smoother in operation.

Geoff
I am no mechanic... where are the bushes located, and are they difficult to swap over, also what is the name of the replacement part from pelican?
Many thanks
Adam

From memory the books focus tends to be on the pre-3.2 Carrera cars, but much is the same.

IMHO well worth getting.

Chris i see that there are two versions - do you know if the second edition features the 3.2 more than the first..? Cheers

Two versions?

Didn't know that.

This is the one I have (hope the link works):

Also the Bentley service manula is well worth buying - it will pay for itself several times over.
