Still get a Peter Morgan inspection if buying from a reputable trader??

Quick question. I've joined the PCGB and am on the hunt for the right (price, spec etc...) 996 Turbo. RSJ generally have a good range of cars for sale and come with a very good reputation. Their website states:

"We prepare our cars for sale to a main Porsche dealer standard. Our used Porsche cars have all cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment carried out to the same level as our staff did when they worked at a main Porsche dealer. All our used Porsche cars are sold with our own in house warranty."

I know it is a very subjective question, nonetheless, if I were to buy from them would you recommend another inspection (by Peter Morgan) for complete peace of mind, or am I being overly cautious?

Anyone's experience of purchasing from RSJ would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Steve

I would and I did, even when buying from RSJ. Whilst the PM inspection did not spot everything it did give me more peace of mind. However, having said all that the cars at RSJ are carefully selected by them. They say they do not buy accident damaged or abused cars which I guess is why they can offer such a comprehensive warranty.

Steve,

The above statement means whatever you want it to mean. I bought from a main dealer as I wanted a car thet met the "main dealer standard" The reality fell far below my expectations due to a series of snags that should have been picked up before delivery eg. wheels out of balance, geometry out, CD changer not working, dipping mirror not working etc. A main dealer is just another garage selling cars and spending the minimum on preparation so an inspection is a must have irrespective of where you are buying. Having said that I have had no direct dealings with RSJ but they are probably no worse than a main dealer. Also check out Ray Northway and 911virgin. Good luck in finding a TT
