Still looking

Went over to Brackley yesterday to look at a turbo that's listed on ebay, in the pics it looks quite nice but there are a couple of issues that combined made me decide it's probably not what I'm looking for, this car made the last one I was interested in seem even better than I thought it was. Anyone know where there's a nice turbo for sale ?.

Pauly, not the answer you`re looking for but I`m looking for a turbo or S2 myself and probably will check out a few before I part with the dollars. Was thinking that seeing as ebay/pistonheads/autotrader are the main places find one (asides members cars) I could save you the journey to look at a `shed` if I`ve already seen it. What one did you look at one ebay?

I am still looking for a turbo, but it has to be an absolute minter for up to £10k, not interested in any projects.

I keep trying to buy one off my local specialist, the greedy bugger has 3 I really like, one turbo cab in black, a turbo SE in blue and another Turbo SE in black, But he will not sell any of them until they are perfect and he isnt interested in setting a deadline for any of them being perfect by.. I think I will wait though, it looks like it will be worth it.

All 3 cars will be for sale by the end of the summer, but not until I am 100% that each one of them is absolutely perfect, without defect and I am happy to put a cast iron warranty on them.

I do not sell cars as a rule, so this will be my first try and I do not want them coming back to haunt me. I want people to be able to shout from the hilltops how great they are and that they do not regret buying them, rather than having any problems with them.

Each one will also be available with a service plan once any warranty runs out, where a monthly fee (like an insurance premium) will cover all servicing and repairs for the duration of the plan.

The ebay car was the blue one, apparently HPI are listing a mileage alert so what the true mileage is anybody's guess, I would have overlooked this and judged it on condition but it's had a poor repair along the drivers side at some point and the door doesn't fit properly, I guess it needs to to be looked at by a good bodyshop and priced up for a proper repair.

Not so much crashed, more had something back into its rear quarter.

Rear quarter could have been repaired, but I bought it now, so it will get a new quarter pannel to be sure its 101% perfect.

The picture are indeed pretty gash. Any cars with pics under trees or the old bucket of water trick I just move on. Its probably been jigged.

He took the pictures with a phone (and was asking £9k+ lol) apparently it sat in a lockup for years, the passenger side looked reasonable but the drivers side has a big gap between the door and the rear wing.
