Stoke Goldington Steam Rally

Stoke Goldington Steam Rally is coming again, this year over the weekend of 6/7th May. I have agreed with the organisers a similar plan to last year.

That is, 10 cars on display on Saturday and 10 on Sunday.

For those who went last year, this years event will be a similar setup and hopefully as enjoyable again. For those who didn't go last year, it was excellent and you missed out, but now's your opportunity to take the preverbial bull by the horns and not mis out this year.

For anyone who would like to take part in this years event, details from the organisers can be found here --> http://www.stokegoldington-steamrally.co.uk/ and the information you need to take part can be found here --> http://www.crazyspeak.co.uk/pcgb

I'll be keeping an eye on the forum so if you would like to come along, read all the info on the web pages listed above and either email me to let me know or post a reply here saying the same thing.

Contact me if you have any questions.

A little more info closer to the time.

Hi there Tony - of course, Michele and I will support the event - please put us down for at least one of the days - I have a feeling I will be racing sometime over that w/e so cannot say which day yet.

Will advise soonest

Thanks

Steve

hi Tony

I was contacted separately by the organisers ages ago and have booked for both days, with family and dogs -trust you can squeeze in an ikkle Cup Car and a couple of Carrera Cup banners!!

And this time, any chance of ensuring the beer tent doesn't run out of real ale by ten p.m.on Saturday night????[][:D]

Thanks chaps, attendance is much appreciated.

I have to confess though that there is little that I can do about the beer tent. I can put in a request for a bigger beer delivery, or maybe confirm someone with a Cayenne and make it a PCGB beer tent.

Will email you seperately.

I came last year and enjoyed the event very much. Could be interested this year if there is space but can only make one day, probably Saturday.

Will keep a watch on this thread for any further info.

Michael

Uh-oh...indeed, I'm racing on the 7th May in the Forest of Dean, and due to the distance and general "phaffage" associated with an event like this, will be going up the day prior to review the course etc..

Regret.. cannot attend now Tony []

Good luck with the event planning - Stoke Goldington is a great show and I will encourage a member (or 2) from the Club Sport register to support with a car.

To everyone who has got passes and maps - I've emailed you seperately.

For what it's worth, after seeing the site today, I can actually squeeze another one or 2 in on the stand (Sat & Sun). So if anyone else is at a loose end this weekend and would like to visit the Steam Rally and bring their Porsche along (so you and your passengers get in free) here's your chance.

Let me know if you do as I also have a couple of spare passes[;)]

Tony,

Thanks for organising this event and doing whatever you did to prove the weather forecasts wrong. Nice one.

Seconding Brians comments.. our thanks to Tony for organising this event for us, we had a great day today (sunday) plenty of things to see and do.
I'm not really into horses, but still find it amazing to watch a pair of Shire horses work together...

Weather held out all day, no rain and a cool breeze, so the weathermen thankfully got it wrong again [;)]

Our thanks to all...
