Sorry for the invasion guys but just wanted to post on behalf of a work colleague.

Had his RS stolen in London about a month ago, will get the reg and chassis details to post up.

He's in pieces cos his insurer is not playing ball with valuation. Any suggestions?

thanks

Michael

Where was it stolen from ? My old 964 RS-alike and another 993 have been stolen from the same street in Maida Vale in the last month.
Best he can do with arguing value with the insurer is to produce as many adverts as possible for what it would cost to replace. Given it is a relatively rare car, there really isn't much argument about price - the places to check are GT Classics and Hermans and Schmitz. Between them these two dealers see most of the cars for sale in Europe.
In addition, the usual stuff - produce as many pictures / invoices etc etc to prove what a special "cherished" car it was ........

Sad to hear that another RS looks to have disappeared - no doubt to be broken for parts by someone who doesn't realise what they have stolen ......... Given the limited market for these cars it's worth supplying the chassis / engine number to the UK and continental specialists to see if they are offered the car.

Would be nice to find out a few more details. You never know what may turn up while trawling the internet!

PM me if you'd rather.

Regards
Martin
