HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ...
I CHANGED MY C4S 996 FOR A 997 GT LOOK JUST 4 WEEKS AGO
FROM STRASSE IN LEEDS.
IN THE EARLY HOURS OF TUESDAY MORNING 27TH SOME SCUMBAG ENTERED MY HOUSE IN SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD AND ALONG WITH A FEW POSSESIONS STOLE MY KEYS & PRIDE & JOY!!!
THE POLICE THINK ITS PROBABLY IN THE MANCHESTER AREA BUT IT COULD BE ANYWHERE PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR IT .....
A VERY DISTINCTIVE 911 AND I WANT HER BACK.

My 993 was stolen a couple of years ago and found by police within a week (well done Thames Valley police..). That was because:
1. The cons normally park up the car in an open public location some distance from their lock up and leave it for a few days just to see whether or not a tracker has been fitted (they don't want to elad police to their base)
2. In my case the police obviously kept a good lookout for the vehicle

I suspect most reports of vehicle theft aren't followed up so closely because of insufficient manpower/the extent of car crime. If you can get the police particularly interested in your car then there is a reasonable chance it will be located before it's chopped/shipped abroad. I'd have thought a decent 997 would be teh target of a professional gang (how did they get around the security/key issue?) so teh incentive to the police is cracking a more major ring if they locate your car and keep it under surveillance.

I live in bolton which is not far from manchester and i work in cheetham hill which is in manchester, so i will keep a look out for you.

Scum tend to linger around where i work, so ill be on the lookout.

Thanks for the responces ive also posted it on Ebay as a classified listing with more pics.
The most obvious detail is the vent at the bottom of the front lid where it meets the bumper ive never seen another gt3 look with this option!
Im gutted that ive lost my car and im sure you would all agree its going to be hard to replace like for like.........
My hopes are with it being so unusual somebody out there might see it, if so you can call me on
