Stone chip protection?

My C4 front PU, and just like the PU on the boxster I owned previously, has the inevitable stonechips peppering the paintwork. (and a few on the bonnet)

With the Boxster, I had the thing painted a couple of months before selling but had to put up with the chips spoiling the look of the car after spending hours attending to the wash, polish and wax malarki.

My Met Black C4 is not as bad as the Guards Red Boxster paint but unless I take some sort of action now I suspect the front will only get worse.

Is there any process or application that can protect the front a little better than the Porsche paint on its own as I want to attend to the problem but won't if it is a pointless waste of time.

Hi

I have had fitted Armorfend when I purchased my new cars - this certainly protects the paint and also is good for the headlights. The only downside is that it can be seen and there is a slight loss of gloss especially noticeable on the bonnet.

I have ordered a 997 cab and will have the same fitted to my new car.

Regards

Jonathan
