Stone chips on painted rim behind wheels

ive a 911 991.2 and have noticed that the paint behind the rear wheels on the rim gets sandblasted. I had this on my previous Boxster too. It is plastic so no danger of rust, but it is frustrating. I don't want to cover the car in film and wondered if there is a transparent rubberised solution that could be applied to reduce chipping but removed easily if needed. the problem is particularly bad when you get new tyres or are driving in the summer on loose chipping some. The rest of the wheel arch seems to be ok, it's just the 6 inches at the rear nearest the ground.

Hi Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of a spray with a transparent rubberised coating that could be peeled off if required. I don't want to cover the car with film, just want to protect a couple of vulnerable spots - particularly during the summer when there are loose chippings. I've looked on like but can't see anything like this

You could use "plasti-dip" i guess. I'm just thinking of making a small panel similar to the "stone guard" below the lowest line of the rear bumper, with the vinyl just going "around the corner" into the painted part of the wheel arch.

I do have a second plan involving a 3d scanner and 3d printer, but this will take some fast talking in the labs at work :)
