Stone chips

I would like to get "the front" of my beloved resprayed and possibly coated to remove stone chips and protect for thereafter. Please can you suggest some places that are good at such work. A friend has advised the paint shop at Blue Bell Wilmslow. [8|]

Speak to John Probert regarding the armafend plastic coating for the front of the car,
he researched it extensively and came up with only one and the best place in the country to carry out this work, john has had his speed yellow 993 rs done,
you may have more chance posting your question on the 993 rs forum, or ask nicola for his email address to contact direct.

Try Lloyds Autobodies on Ringway Trading Estate, Shadow Moss Road - do much work for OPC so should be good.

DON'T. Lloyds are horrendous. I know owners whose cars have been back 4 or 5 times for work to be re-done. I have never heard a good word. Try Cheshire Autobody in Knutsford. Mine is in having a full respray. They have come highly recommended to me and specialise in Ferrari and Lambo as well as Porsche. Speak to Andy-nice guy.

I appreciate the input from all. I have an ongoing experience with Lloyds and agree.I would not take my wheelbarrow there after what they did to my 993. How they are Porsche approved defies logic. Marc at ninemeister is a great bloke who knows and does his stuff well, and a real enthusiast to boot. I will check out Armafend, thanks for the heads up.

Just to add that approaching a year now, i have had the ventureshield PPF applied and never been happier. The half-bonnet film has kept me very pleased and reassured and happy to say that the paint looks as good as new (you can get the full front bonnet covering). There are other PPF's out there with differing properties mind you but have had a perfect result with the one above.
