Stone Guards

My car is currently in for a full re-spray. I did have some badly fitted stone guards that I was going to replace.

What do you think?

Shall I?
Shouldn't I?
Have you got them?

My car is Marine Blue metallic - so the guards are understated and not as in your face as Guards red or white!

Yes, put them back on. The question is whether you should fit the small or larger turbo versions.

My '88 is also Marine blue (in fact I thought it was only an '88 colour) and I have the larger stone guards.

Leave them off or use clear 3M stoneguard if you must - I intensely dislike them. The impact bumpers and other little design details like the staone guards are very fussy when viewed with a year 2004 critical eye. Anything that cleans up the design is IMHO an improvement. For example, the zenith of 911 cool is probably the 73 RS - no stone guards there!

Conflicting opinions!

I will not put them back on (yet) and then if I think they should go on at least I can add them.
This way at least I get to see what it looks like without.

I am truly biased but you can't go past the Carrera stripes and matching wheel centres look [:D]

Not too sure of the Carrera decals, but a point well made. They certainly wouldn't look like that with the stone guards.
