Stoneguards

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to the forum. I've just got a 997 and i've been looking around on the forum and seen some of you have some cool retro looking black stoneguards.

I've got mine in the body shop at the moment to take care of stonechips, and when its out I think I'll put some black ones on. I have a silver 997. Whats the concensus here?
The chap working on my car specialises in porsches, usually classics, and has given be a recommendation where to get them, its just picking the colour now.
I may get black ones with PORSCHE script on the bottom.

What do you guys think? They are removeable so i'm not too concerend with resale implications.

I got mine fitted by the OPC who also supplied them. They are genuine OPC parts from the 997 Speedster and the part number is 99755903500. Mine were £125 fitted. Personally, I love them although was unsure at first whether it took the smooth lines of the classic 911 shape away. They're easy to fit, so can always go back to clears if you want.

£125??

I got some from the USA mail-order for around £25 - I still have them and if the OP wants to PM me, I'll put them in the mail.

To fit, just peel off the backing and apply.

Yep, not cheap but thats an OPC for you. Very pleased with them though...

I prefer black stone guards ,timeless look although i have clear ones ,and clear on the front end ..hate stone chips

I've just bought black and clear and I'll decide when I have them both in my hands.
I went with the recommendation from the body shop and they were £34.99. I just ordered so should get them tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

p.s. that white on black looks great!!

These arrived next day. Both look great, I'm loving the look of the black ones, I'm going to fit these at the weekend. I took a look at the ones I removed and they match perfectly.
I'm going to list the clear ones for sale in the sales and wants on here. They're great just decided on the black in the end!
