Stop Squeaking!

My Boxster has developed an irritating squeak in the hood, just behind the driver' s seat. The bumpier the road, (and believe me, West Yorkshire has some diabolical road surfaces), the louder the squeak. Does anyone have any remedies other than taking it back to the dealer?

make sure the back of the seat (head restraint)isn' t touching the roll bar!!! (the mesh bit)cos everytime you go over a bump it will rub/squeek!!![]

sorry I can' t offer any advice other than I made the mistake of reclining the seat a bit too enthusiastically which resulted in the top of the seat popping the honeycomb insert out and ufo' ing down the M11 today!

Thanks for that. Andrew, I guess you' ll just have to enjoy a liitle more wind in your hair until you get a new wind deflector!

Ian can we take it that it was your seat rubbing that was causing the squeek?

or was it the porsche guinea pig escaped again?

The weather' s been so good that I' ve been driving it with the hood down so haven' t noticed the squeak. Suspect it will be the guinea pig as the headrest wasn' t catching on anything.
