Bit of help needed folks. Likely to be moving house in the next couple of months, plenty of parking but currently no garage, anybody experience of outdoor covers/shelter to keep the RS tucked up warm? Hopefully this would only be for a few months.

I have a spare space in my garage next to my RS and I am sure it won't mind having some company for a few months.

Seriously I am in Leiecestershire and would be happy to let you borrow the spare garage bay. Garage is alarmed (connected to RedCare system and local police & fire) and the property is set behind an electric gate which is generally always closed. We only moved here in September and plan to stay here for a long time.

Let me know if this is of interest.

Ollie,
Thanks, that's a great offer - however move is to Shropshire so regretfully I will decline. Typical, I move out the area and find other RS's local to me!

No problem, just watch those speed camera in the Welsh border areas.

Zero tolerance is an understatement. I'm sure they will try an introduce a speeding bill that fines you for driving your RS as you might be speeding at some point on the journey.

I use an outdoor cover bought from Autofarm 2 years ago. Use it all the time on my 964.
Cost about £90, straps underneath (although I have added extra one at the front and rear) keeps the water off the car. Breathable fabric.

My RS lives outside all year round and I don't have any problems! However, I have thought about a cover but I assume this can only be put on a dry, clean car so there seems little point. Or have I misunderstood covers.

Yes but yours is RHD and designed for this climate, Simon.....[;)]

Also easier to park in UK parking spaces....[:D]

I'm sure I've seen in one of the Classic car mags (maybe Octane) a fold-away garage with light and all. Space to drive in and open doors etc.

I'll try and find the artcle.

Problem with most of you is that you own a bunch of Garage Queen's. These cars are meant to be used[:D]
