Anybody come across this before:-

The rear foglight switch doesn't switch the Rear Fogs on when switched on (the light in the button doesn't light up either), BUT when you then swtich on the Front Fogs, the light on the switch comes on, as do teh Rear Fogs (and the fornts obviously.)

Strange? Or just the switch knackerd?

I think it's because your theyresupposedtodothat isn't malfunctioning. [&:]

Either that, or our car has a problem too......as it does the same. [:D]

That's normal, and quite common on German cars. The idea is that if it's foggy, you would be putting your front fog lights on when it gets a little bit foggy and you want to improve your forward visibility, and only put the rear ones on when it gets very foggy.

The Germans don't do the thing that British people do of "it was a little bit rainy 3 days ago, so I'd better have my rear fog light on".

On my Merc, the fog light is a 2 stage pull switch. The first pull gives you front fogs, the second gives you both.

Mine does the same...seems like a good idea aswell, I suppose, though I'm never quite sure if front fogs actually make any difference.[8|]
