strange fault

Coming back from Eynsham had a great deal of difficulty trying to start my car at the hotel it just would not start on all cylinders so made the journey home at a crawl on about 4-5 cylinders.
When I got home booked the car into the garage that I use they found that two of the injectors where us, had them changed but when I got home I decided the best bet would to get the other 4 cleaned and tested did the work my self, local firm did the testing.
Car was running like a dream after that it lasted for a few weeks until yesterday when I went to start it to go to work, same fault came on taking a age to start and when it did it was firing on only 4-5 cylinders again so switched if off till had more time.
Had a go at staring it to day it started fist time on all cylinders so have no idea where to look now.
So would be most great full for any help and ideas

Fuel filter? - your injectors got clogged for a reason and the filter is the next thing down the line that I would look at.

dear graham,

I own a 911 3.2 Carrera and I suffered the same problem as you. Next time you have that problem, find out wich cylinders are not burning petrol (very easy, spray some water onto the exhaust manifold close to each cylinder, waters should evaporate in an instant, if not you know that cylinder is not getting fuel).

After keeping track of that for a while and finding out that it was always the same 2 cylinders not getting fuel, and after trying to fix the problem with miracle products (WYNNS and others) to clean my injectors,I decided to have the injectors cleaned profesionaly (They do it on an ultrasonic bath).

Now my car runs great!! very smooth and problem fixed!!! 5 months ago and still running perfectly.

Hi Antonio

I had the injectors cleaned profesionaly and jetted for flow, and the car ran like a dream for a few weeks.

Fault had gone on it`s own by the next day without me touching the car, but have changed the filter just in case but I have a feelling it may be electrical !

Fingers crossed
