strange noise coming from box

since replacing rear drop links i know face the problem of a strange noise coming from the gear box.
may be something or nothing but when i change up or down i get a slight chinking noise. had a new clutch fitted so dont think its that. the other thing i noticed was starting the engine when warm it sounds like the starter runs ahead , making the same chinking noise. my 996 c4 tip never did this.
any ideas guys please.
 
well its been checked out and it seems that all is ok. just things speeding up and slowing down in the box, prop shafts being hollow they send all the noises down them. just characters of these fine machines.
