Strange Noise.... Hepl!!

Ok guys I confess that I haven't followed this too far yet. I am hoping someone will point me in the right direction.

When I turn on the ignition to dash light illuminations, but not engine start, there is a funny wurring noise from behind the dash.

Its not very loud and you certainly wouldn't hear it over the engine if it were started.

I wonder if it some sort of air flow flap or device in the heater/ventilation system that is doing a sort of reset, but not completing its cycle maybe.

It is one of those things where you sit there for a while expecting it to stop..... but it doesn't!!

Any ideas where to start looking?

hi simon it sound like the heater motor.or one of the relays...cheers carl ..ps do you go to barry smith house ?? i think i know you??
 
I second the heater motor.
Even if you think you have switched it off, it still runs. In fact the blower seems to run all the time, albee it slowly...[ When the ignition is on..]...
