strange one

sticker guy

New member
Hi guys, i have a 2.7 2000 boxster, which drives lovely nad does me proud.

A friend of mine just picked up a S plate 2.5 one and gave me a drive this week......

curious as to if the smaller engine would feel slower, i was absolutely gutted to find the car was a lot quicker, more responsive and sounded more porsche like if that makes any sense.

so my question is, was the 2.5 tinkered with, or is there a issue with my car that is not throwing up and errors?

i checked the ecu on the 2.5 to look for any ecu chip stickers, but found nothing. though the 2 ecu's are very different in appearence

im a bit deflated now

Suggest you try the Boxster forum, but my guess a noisey exhaust often improves the response which makes the car feel quicker.
