Hi,
i have a 98 reg 2.5 boxster and yesterday i came back to find the dash lit up with the clock flashing ?

engines starts fine and i can set clock when the key is in the ignition but as soon as i take the key out the mileage on the left, 0 in the middle and on right part of dash the clock just keeps flashing and the lights dont go out as normal

it also wont let me set the clock without the key in the ignition so its now lit all the time

is there anybody know why this is happenning or have any solutions ?

I had a strange Dash problem with my 911. I resolved it by disconnecting the main battery connection for a few minutes then reconnecting it.

It is something like ReBooting your home PC and you never find out what the problem was, but if it clears it, then what the heck !

Good luck and it's a free fix if it works.

Did you find a solution to your problem regarding a lit dash?
Did you try TonyM's battery disconnect/reconnect suggestion ?
I have the exact same problem on a 97 2.5 boxster and would welcome any advice.
many thanks
