Strange question...

Mark

You will be able to carry a bike on a rack mounted on roof bars. Porsche used to do the roof bars which you may be able to source from somewhere like e-bay, but if not I am sure if you looked at the range by Thule they will do roof bars to mount on the gutters, and they do bike carriers.
The Thule web site would be a good place, it lists dealers and product codes.

This subject was featured several years ago in 911 and Porsche World magazine. Phil Raby had his mountain bike mounted to the roof of his 964C4. I think he used Thule equipment.
You could look at the genuine Porsche equipment catalogue though.

The 964 has roof gutters doesn't it? If so I have a pair of Thule lockable roof bars collecting dust and cobwebs in the garage which I keep meaning to put on ebay. If you are interested drop me an email and i'll measure up the length of the bars so you can make sure they are wide enough for your 964.

They were £100 brand new about 8 yrs ago or so but due to them being a good quality engineered product they are almost as good as new.

Thanks Gents, I'll check Thule out.

Scott - I'll drop you line if I go ahead and buy the 964 I'm looking at.
