Strange speedo anomaly

Have you done anything to the stereo? I put a new one in from my other 944 and found as the volume was changed it would stop the speedo needle. Cut one wire and it's been fine sense

Tried banging the dash. Even took the speedo out to see if it was stuck. Not stuck put it back and still no joy.Should also add the speedo has only stopped working since I rebuilt the car. It was fine before.

Sorry no more ideas but worth a try [:(]

I don't have any ideas either jonny.

Ill just go back to sticking the sat nav on the windscreen and use that as a speedo.

It's most likely a wire issue. Change over the dash cluster to check the clocks. Then find the wire. Test for current.

is the pick up still properly in the diff?

When I swapped the box it felt like it was in but a further fiddle and it clicked in.
