strange warning lights

I'd been away from the country and had left my 89 944 for about 2 months without it being used. When I returned the the battery was flat so I got a new battery.

But the thing is that when I started the car the red centre warning light is on and 'Antilock' light is on, they stay on all the time. I guess this must be related to the flat battery.
anyone have any remadies for this?

It means it has detected a problem with the ABS brake system. It could be either:

1. The ABS ECU
2. The ABS pump
3. One of the sensors at each wheel
4. One of the wires between each of those components

To explicitly state what I think Paul is saying it's coincidence / the effect of sitting around on the ABS system, not the battery draining.
