Any idea why when I press the brake pedal my dimmed front right hand beam comes on at the same time. The brake light works fine.
Help much appreciated.

I would suspect a shorted filament across the two filaments of the stop/tail lamp bulb or an earth issue with the rear lamp clusters perhaps (rare)???

I know if your side light comes on when you press the brake pedal your lamp at the rear has gone, but not heard of that before.
All you other lights working correctly?

I have a recurring earthing fault with my right hand stop lamp, but I know when it's happening because I can see my front right side light come on reflected in the back of my van when I have the brake pedal pressed. Try taking the stop lamp out and cleaning the holder and the bulb with some emery paper. Works for me for a few months.

Christian................

That was the exact problem with my GF's lights - perhaps not so rare?

Have you replaced any other bulbs, as this defect can be caused by fitting one of an incorrect type?
