Strangest discovery in a 944 ever ?

Morning All !

I had the day off Monday and decided as part of the clutch change to 'wrestle' the gearbox out of the 951.

Part way through I had to unhook the gear selector rod - lots of chewed up foam/insulation around the gearstick - and low and behold a handful of acorns !! OMG - obviously a secure location for a squirrel !

Pleased to say I eventually got the box out - couldnt get the 2nd hanger bolt out because of the angle - so took the easy option and dropped the cross member. Next to get the TT back and the clutch cover off,

Bit of a variety from change under the seat :-D

I found a complete stash of acorns tucked in the bottom of the engine bay in a 3 series I had - would like to blame the continuous electrical gremlins on that but feel it was just the car!

The very first S2 that I looked at before I eventually bought mine had a similar stash of nuts at the back of the engine bay by the wiper motor. A lot of the electrics were a bit dodgy on that car!

Maybe 944's are the car of choice for the discerning squirrel :ROFLMAO:

My brother works for Thames water, the
squirrels love the cables on the 10 tonne MAN trucks, quite often stuck for days waiting for new looms to be fitted

A little sad really, My coupe arrived with a leaflet on abortion in the battery area.....

If that was in a 924 I'd question if that had been placed there to cover the rusty hole in the battery tray.

To be fair, getting a child seat to fit in the back of a 944 is notoriously difficult. [:-]
