Strasse 993s

I'm in the process of looking for a suitable 993 to replace my 968. Has anyone had any experience of dealing with Strasse in Leeds - positive or negative.

Thanks
G

I've bought 2 cars from them and had my 993's maintained by them over the last 2 years - I can recommend them for both sales and service, a really good, friendly buch of lads.

All the guys know me by name and I really feel like I'm one of a very few number of customers - even though I know this isn't the case.

They also know their stuff - both the Dave's are ex OPC.

I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. My one and only criticism is that you sometimes don't get a call back on time but now I know that, I work around it and it is no problem. Professional ,courteous and genuine and most important of all, when you have a problem, even when it is nothing of their doing, they go out of their way to make it right.

Funnily enough I was talking about this to one of my clients today who also uses Strasse. He was paying them the usual compliments but said the thing that impressed him most was that he knew relatively little about mechanical stuff and he had two problems when they could have ripped him off very very easily without him ever knowing but they didn't (on one occasion his Boxster coughed out a load of smoke and then spewed flames from the exhaust - it looked very terminal and the paintwork was also damaged. Strasse towed it in, kept it a week and gave it him back with a bill for £189, he told them he'd expected several thousand pounds and would have paid without question - a simple 'o' ring had split and put oil in to the exhaust and caused the fire. The paintowrk they simpley T cut and then polished and polished and polished until you couldn't see any damage).

I am confident they can be trusted and that's not something you can say about a lot of the motor trade!

Many thanks for the information guys, I feel relatively comfortable that I could buy from Strasse without getting a seperate independant inspection. As I will be travelling a fair old distance to view the cars I though I would turn in past Gmund cars - sorry to be a pain - but does anyone on here have experience of dealing with Gmund?

Many thanks
G

I bought my 993C2S from Gmund last month, the guys there are very friendly, the purchase went without a hitch, they sorted out a couple of minor niggles I picked up on the test drive, and I did get an independent PPI done by Peter Morgan for peace of mind.

Not heard any bad things about Strasse - have had v good dealings with Andrew at Gmund.
If you're looking at the Zenith 993S at Strasse I think it's Simon Butterworths old car (Porscheapart) and was highly pampered.
