Stray wire

Battery failed to start garage queen 2S after being out overnight so I had a poke about today with the intention of checking battery drain with all systems off before changing battery. In addition to the usual main lead from the negative terminal there are two additional small leads. One is for the CTEK trickle charger so is no concern but I do not know if the other is an alarm feed or to some accessory fitted by a previous owner. About 400mm from the battery the lead divides into two. One is piggybacked onto the harness leading into the car but the other has an inline fuse, the other side of which is a short length of wire that looks as if it once had a spade terminal that has been cut off leaving an uninsinuated end.

Any thoughts?

thanks

Bernard

May of been for a old handsfree kit, very common on high end vehicles back in the nineties, most installers seem to take the + and - feeds straight from the battery with an inline fuse on the + side (sometimes on the - side too)
