Strut Brace

I notiiced a carbon fibre strut brace kit on eBay last night (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Carbon-fibre-strut-brace-Porsche-996-Boxster_W0QQitemZ7991934345QQcategoryZ40192QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem), is there any point to this other than to look good in your front boot? I reckon the turn in is pretty sharp anyway.
