....will like this!!!

According to Wisebuyers Guides, the 911 Turbo is worth 89% of its original purchase price after 12 months; (only bettered by the Volvo XC902.5);

Glass's Guide reckon 71% after three years; (outright winner)

and What Car? upto 75% after three years.....-(only bettered by Range Rover and Merc SLK);

Hope that makes depreciation feel better???

And as an addendum to that:

".....the Stuttgart firm could do better still, if it starts to offer Diesel-powered products.

If such Porsches ever came on to the market they'll be almost as good as money in the bank.."

Tallmat -thank goodness your heart ruled your head!!!!

It's only money [;)]
We could have a recession and the whole lot go out the window, or oil could go through the roof, or Porsche could win LeMan outright and everyone who thought Ferraris are naff could stampede to buy one.
Of course who knows what effect the 997 TT will have.

Buy what you like the look of and worry about the money later. It might never happen.

(Of course, knowing that it isn't depreciating like a brick is helpful though.)

Fortunately it always has with cars, bikes, boats - I guess it's the same for us all on this forum! Head takes over on things like houses, kids, the wife's credit card....

The only trouble with these magazine figures is they don't tend to take into account the cost of optional extra's, which are an arm & a leg on Porkers! Factor the average £6k-ish & the figures don't look so good, more like 63%, but hey still good for a high value beast!

I've got a TT AND a Volvo XC90 - great planning eh?? [8|]
Actually, both bought without a thought to residuals [:D]
