Stupid M030 Question

Evening

I've noticed that my 968 Sport sits lower than other Sports and Club Sports, particularly at the rear. This leads to a lot of chin stroking and questions like "You got M030 on that?"

The fact is I have no idea. How do I tell? I've had the car two and a half years and three diifferent specialists have worked on it without mentioning the ride height or anyrthing about M030.

The car also has air con - I know it's possible to find out what options it had when new but can anyone tell me how this is done?

Cheers

A good/quick indicator for M030 suspension is to check the rear dampers, if they have springs around the dampers(coilovers) they will be M030.

Just lie down under the back with a torch and have a look.

If it sits low at the back, then its highly unlikely you have M030 fitted, As stu says check the rear dampers for coil,overs..
Most M030 cars ive seen actually sit higher at the rear than most...
See this add, this car has the M030 option.

The Sport for some reason does sit lower at the rear than any other varient.....
Or maybe your T bars are going soft..???

Regarding options. Do you have a paper sticker in the boot area, around 4" square.?? Thats the option list amongst other things. Failing that, do you have the original service book from new. In the front of that will be the same decal with a load of numbers on it...
If you find all these just post up your findings + we can decipher them....

Thanks Dave and Stu that's very helpful.

There's not enough room in my garage to lie down under the car and it's throwing it down oustide so looking for coilover springs will ahve to wait. I doubt the car has M030 to be honest because I'm sure somebody would've mentioned it by now.

Now that you mention it Dave I've only compared the ride height to Club Sports, assuming they'd be the same as a Sport becasue they have the same suspension set up. So maybe it is standard for a Sport although sagging torsion bars had crossed my mind too. The handling seems to be fine though and it was great at Prescott last weekend [:)]

I have the options nos from the original service book. They are:

C18 273 348 381 382 418 451 455 498 534 587 850 851 885.

Cheers
