Stutter at 1K

Hi all,

While sat in a traffic jam on the M3 over the weekend, I noticed my car isn't happy at 1000rpm, it sort of stutters. As soon as you go faster it clears and is fine. Anyone else notice this ?

Cheers

It sounds like it could be a sensor, most likely the MAF which you could try cleaning to see if it helps. If you want to do a diagnostic check, drop me an email.

Mine has always been a bit stuttery around 1k rpm, but is currently a lot worse when first started... I've a service coming up in the next month or two, so will mention it to the OPC.

Hi Richard,

I'll give the MAF sensor a clean this weekend, if the problem still exits is it ok if I pop over next week some time ?

Cheers

When you use your PST2, does it leave any record in the ECU? I remember that VAGCOM does leave a "dealer number/reference" when you use it and you had to be careful not to leave a record that you'd been in having a play.
