I seem to recall someone once mentioning a mini sub-woofer for the 993 that fits under the passenger seat. Is there such a thing, or am I imagining it ?

Thanks Oliver, it's quite big. I was hoping there might be something out there that was a bit less intrusive, but I guess if it's removable it might be worth keeping in mind.

Marc

I've got one of these under the passenger seat of my mk1 MR2...

... I would be willing to bet that it would also easily fit under the front seats of a 964 or 993.

that's the one....

Yep, they're actually surprisingly good for their price and size. Better than taking up passenger or luggage space IMO.

although probably getter to fit an Amp and get rid of all that awful OEM speaker wiring

Can any of you guys recommend a good audio fitter for this kind of work? I am in Pinner (NW London) so would prefer someone local or who visits.

does anyone have experience fitting the above Alpine SWD-1600 under the seat of a 993 ? Will you still be able to lower the seat to the lowest position and slide it back and forth ?

all I've ever done is changed the OEM speakers front and rear and the head unit............ amps et al under the passenger seat, sadly not

although if I end up keeping my car later this year then I might do that !
