Suitable Fuel Can for 991

I want to find a fuel can that will fit ‘snugly’ in the trunk of my 991. Does anyone know of such a thing? Hoping to avoid the standard 5 litre can.

Maybe I’m missing something Peter but I can’t see what the £18 Porsche-labelled can (plus cleaning cloth!) will give you over my £4 can from Wilko which I’m sure is a similar size and fits neatly in my 987.2 Cayman’s front boot:

Why would you need two pouring spouts? ??

John, if you want something to fit really snugly I think that it will still move around in an empty boot unless it’s strapped in.

My experience of ^ type of fuel cans is that they have extremely poor neck seals, due in part to the plastic neck not being accurately machined ... hence they are prone to leaking. Not something that I would have in an enclosed space / boot / frunk for anything other than a short trip, I use a similar 10ltr can for mower fuel, a three mile trip ... covered in a towel - wedged behind the passenger`s seat, not in Porsche though [;)]

For long journeys / touring a metal `Jerry` can is far more reliable, available in 10ltr size

The plastic race fuel `jugs` are extremely robust and safer but only come in 20ltr I believe (e.g. Sunoco brand)

Is this due to the recent fuel problems, as I can't see why you'd need to carry one otherwise?
Paul.
