I was browsing a few sites recently and was pleasantly surprised to see original pattern SO2s AND Yoko 008Ps for sale at www.mytyres.co.uk
The sizes were SO2s 205/55/16 225/50/16
Yokos 205/55/16 245/45/16

I recommend them both to owners

I think time and tyre design has moved on a bit since either of these tyres was state of the art - especially the A008Ps - however at the right price they might make sense. If these are old stock I would check when they were made as tyres only last about 5 years before they start to degrade. YMMV.

I agree about the dates , you have just reminded me to ask about date codes on a P-Zero C deal for my latest track tyres.
My feeling about these (older model) tyres is that the handling characteristics seemed to suit the 3.2, it the same way that a soft walled 70 profile or a skinny 30 profile would not suit the car, this is not something that I can prove, but having owned the same car for many years I can recall clearly the difference between Yoko 008Ps and the then current Dunlop SP Sport M2s,

Mike

PS are you doing Oulton 5th March?

Fair enough.

Re Oulton - no. I have been overseas for 3 weeks and now have a house move to arrange in 4 weeks. Time away from home now would be detrimental to matrimonial harmony ! Besides, my winter projects don't look like being completed until early summer.
