With all this lovely weather, and after a prompt from Deb, I was reminded that we were asked at the last meeting whether we would be holding another club BBQ at our tyre garage in Whickham this year.
We have decided that this year we would schedule it for a Saturday afternoon on the 10th of August from 2.00pm onwards.
Last year's BBQ was a great success despite the pouring rain, we just pulled everything inside. As such this is not weather dependent event and is a firm date.
Can anyone wishing to come along please let us know so that we have an idea of what amount of food and drink to purchase. The ramps will be available if anyone wishes to inspect under their cars, you don't often get the chance to see the non-shiny bits.
For those who have not been before, the address is Grande Tyres Fastfix, The Tyre Depot, Whickham Ind Est, Whickham Bank, Newcastle, NE16 3DA Tel: 0191 4887288

Greg and Deb.

Don't forget tomorrow's barbeque. Burgers are bought, drinks are in the fridge & the sunshine's been ordered. If you've never been to an R3 social event before pop along & introduce yourself, all welcome.
Seating is limited, so if you have a folding chair bring it with you.
See you there, Greg & Deb

Thankyou Greg and Deb for the fab BBQ .I think the two highlights for me were the stonking burgers and as usual the entertainment by the R3 ladies after drink had been taken,it got scarey at times . Well done you two and again THANKYOU !!

Sounds like fun was had by all ;)

Sorry I missed this one, just got back from a week away and had loads to do; time ran away with me.

Thanks to the club members who made the effort, the Grande Feast was a great success.
Don't know what we have to do as a club to get more members to join in, but hey ho! Good fun had by all. Good food, great company and the chance for those who where not drinking, (also known as the blokes) a chance to get their car up on the lift to spend time looking for any potential problems. Mags cakes where the perfect way to round off our plentiful BBQ food.
Thanks Mags. Mmmmmmmm.
May even consider making this a yearly event if enough interest.

Sorry i couldn't make it as i was at a twins 40th birthday all day. Glad you all had a great day greg and its a shame i missed it.
